Главной новостью мировой туриндустрии 2014 стало резкое сокращение выездного турпотока из России. Причина сокращения рынка - сложная экономическая ситуация, введение санкций против России, запрет на выезд за границу некоторых категорий граждан и рост валют. Так по некоторым данным выездной поток уже сократился на 30% и особо отток заметен в европейских странах - Германии, Франции, Швейцарии, Италии, Польше и Испании. В результате сокращения потребительского спроса, только за вторую половину 2014 года в России обанкротилось 20 крупных операторов, работающих в сегменте.

Медицинский туризм всегда оставался самым экономически стойким сегментом рынка. Но стагнация российской экономики существенно повлияла и на него. Так запросы на лечение в Германии сократились на -26%, в Израиль на - 13%, в Чехию на -32%, в Венгрию на -29% (2013/2014). И, несмотря на тяжелое состояние здравоохранения в самой стране, россияне стремятся получать медицинские услуги на родине или в ближайших странах - в Белоруссии, где количество запросов выросло на +5% за период август-декабрь 2014. При чем такая ситуация коснулась все слои населения, от экономически не защищенных до состоятельных россиян. Причина тут одна - инфляция, рост цен по всем категориям товаров и существенного сокращения доходов населения.

At that, such a situation is pertinent to all sections of the population, from economically vulnerable people to the well-off. The contributing factors here are devaluation of the ruble, rise in prices and drop in household income.
